Group - Proposal for Audience Research

What style is your audience research going to take?
Our AS research was in the style of an online questionnaire on a programme called surveymonkey. We propose to use a variety of open and closed questions and ask people in person, video revording them. This could also allow the audience to interact and ask questions if they are not clear.

What is the purpose of the audience research?
The purpose of our audience research is to find an ideal target audience and discover their preferences. We want to propose some of our ideas and see if they appeal to them, yet also possibly gaining more ideas that we have not yet thought of.

Who are your sample audience and how are you going to access them?
Our sample audience would probably be teenagers and young adults of the female gender. It could also appeal to males, however, Ellie Gouldings songs are fairly feminine.

What are examples of possible questions?
To propose possible locations e.g. Which of these locations do you think would suit the song?
What oufit would you expect Ellie Goulding to wear? The questions below are our first original thoughts for questions, we handed these out to other members in our class for feedback.

• where questions have more than one option, rank them in order of suitability/likeability
• number the questions
• give a link to the track
• time deadline to return questionnaire
